Duel Autocare Starts The Show Season With Ultimate Dubs 2023
Ultimate Dubs signifies the start of show season 2023 for us here at Duel and it's got off to a flying start
Ultimate Dubs has long been cemented in place as the show season-opening event. It signifies that another year of car shows is upon us here in the UK. It’s time to get the builds out of the garages and into the show spotlight.
Ultimate Dubs is the largest indoor VAG (Volkswagen, Audi Group) enthusiast event in the UK. Every year the show brings together the ultimate VW, Audi, Seat and Skoda cars from all over Europe. On display were some fine examples from all the above manufacturers plus BMW and Porsche owners. All of this under one roof at the Telford International Centre for a full day of entertainment located just off the M54, about 30 miles west of Birmingham. The show was supported by local, national and European sponsors to bring you the best show cars, clubs, European advertising and of course yours truly, Duel Autocare for everyone to enjoy. It’s not just about VAG, there are special displays too which include a slammed bus stand and BMX restyling competition and even a drifting RC car display courtesy of Ratrap RC among many more. On top of pristine show cars, Ultimate Dubs brings you amazing deals over on the trade stands from companies that specialise in detailing products and accessories, tuning parts, suspension, styling and more. Companies like wheel manufacturer Rotiform were in attendance, alongside tyre specialists Nangkang as well as CarAudioSecurity.com who had one of our favourite cars of the show, a BMW E31 840Ci Sport, simply stunning!
Whilst we're on the topic of our favourite cars of the show, a special mention must go to @s30bmx and his Audi R8 wearing a brand-new wrap, which left us all speculating the official colour, we settled on a midnight purple, again absolutely superb.
Another aspect of the show season is getting to meet such fantastic people from within the car community, and listening to their stories of the blood, sweat and tears that go into some of the custom builds. One such person was @kimboyrs4 and his 10 years long build of his simply incredible Audi RS4 complete with more carbon fibre than Thomas Edison's workshop. Kim recently added a HUGE Lamborghini Urus brake setup to this already impressive build. The judges certainly echoed our thoughts awarding him with no less than two awards, including Best Wheels and the coveted Best in Show award. A huge congratulations to Kim on a well deserved trophy haul.
With over 300 of the UK and Europe's cars on display combined with incredible special displays/ attractions and trade stands, Ultimate Dubs is easily one of the best shows of the year. If you couldn’t make it this year it’s definitely one to book time off for next year, but if that’s too long to wait, there is another show later in the year in October featuring another 250 show vehicles alongside 300 club displays and other attractions, Ultimate Stance.

Needless to say, here at Duel, we could not wait for this one and were excited to offer our exclusive show-only deals to the public. In a bid to start the show season strong, we made new additions to the stand such as a new media screen, showing off and detailing our products, making it the best yet. We even had the opportunity to feature one of our brand ambassadors. Tom, who can be found on Instagram under the tag @Tom.RS3, kindly agreed to support us and brought along his impressive Audi RS3 to feature on the stand! Tom was only too happy to attend one of his favourite shows.
Tom gave us a little insight into the weekend:
“Ultimate Dubs has always been one of my favourite shows. So many different elements contribute to this - the location, the cars, the people and the fact it’s always the first show of the season after the long winter period. This year was no different. I was joined by @ph11_wtf, @untypicalmedia and @tr07vwr this year with my car sitting on display with my detailing sponsor @duelautocare who were trading at the show. Set up day on the Saturday is always fun, getting the car detailed and prepped prior to arriving at the arena and making our way to the Duel stand. Once inside we parked up and got to work on the stand, setting up the product display and getting the stand ready for the show the next day. My particular highlight was seeing @ph11_wtf hoovering skills in making sure the carpet for the stand was spotless! One of the highlights of Dubs is the Saturday night party, what happens at Dubs stays at Dubs though - say no more.
Sunday is show day which meant a busy day for Lee and Sam of Duel who had a constant stream of traffic coming to the stand to buy detailing products and get advice on products and detailing methods - the show's special prices on offer meant people couldn’t stay away. The quality of cars on show this year were unreal, it’s so good seeing people’s creations and new parts added over the winter period. The end-of-the-day clear down of the stand was a lot quicker than set up given we had a lot fewer products to put away due to a successful day's trading. And that was Dubs over and done for 2023. Big thanks to Duel Autocare for their hospitality over the weekend and also for their constant support throughout the year making sure my car stays fresh and clean for all the shows, shoots and meets.”
It was a pleasure to have you along for the ride, Tom, and glad you enjoyed it. We look forward to, and hope there’s a next time! As for us, it was a brilliant first show of the year! Those who came over to the stand showed us a lot of love and interest. As always, we came wielding all our best products, wealth of knowledge and were only too happy to be on-hand ready to offer any advice people needed. We can’t wait for next year, that's for sure!
The weekend is all about the hard-working people who put their heart and soul into their incredible DUB creations. There were plenty of fantastic builds at the show this year, some new and some from veterans of the show that had been attending for years and love to bring back their perfect builds year after year. So it’s only natural that there were more than just good deals up for grabs at Ultimate Dubs. For those who had brought along their pride and joy to present, there were awards for the taking too!
